School seeks a high school special education teacher with excellent
communication and collaboration skills to work with identified students and
general education teachers in grades 9 - 12. Candidate must be able to
build relationships and trust with students, which leads to improvement of
students’ academic and life skills. Based on individual student needs,
instructor must provide general education adaptations to match the student’s
skill level. Applicant should be qualified (holding minimum Iowa
licensure of an Instructional Strategist I, preferred Instructional Strategist
I and II).
High School Alternative Education Coordinator
Lake High School seeks a coordinator for our alternative high school.
Candidate must be an innovative thinker and dynamic with high school youth to
oversee programming and educational opportunities that engage and develop
students’ academic and 21st Century skills. Applicant should have
excellent communication and the ability to work with students individually and
in small group settings, as well as collaborate with general education teachers
and community business partners. Experience in school counseling and/or
working with at-risk youth is preferred.
